Golfing

Campo De Golf Villamartin hosted the 1994 Mediterranean Open which was won by Jose Maria Olazabal after an exciting play-off with Paul McGinley. Villamartin Golf Course, designed by Paul Putman, is situated within a mile of the sea between Torrevieja and Murcia airport at San Javier on the south eastern tip of the Costa Blanca. The par for the course is 72 and it measures 6005 metres.  It is built on hilly ground with the front nine holes being at the highest point of the course offering some spectacular sea views. The second nine are situated more in valleys with brancas (ravines) coming into play on several holes.

Las Ramblas Golf Course was created by the famous designer Pepe Gancedo, always providing his designs with creative and innovative characteristics with quality that has earned his national and international reputation. Las Ramblas golf course has incomparable beauty and has been developed on a steep terrain surrounded by water, here in the Valencian Community. The vegetation surrounding the course is formed primarily of leafy pines that create an unforgettable backdrop for the course. Furthermore, Las Ramblas offers magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Campoamor Golf Course has been challenging experienced golfers since 1988 when it was inaugurated as Real Club de Golf Campoamor by HRH D. Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona, in whose honour a tournament which bears his name is held every year in August. The course emerged from the wild beauty of Dehesa de Campoamor between two interconnected valleys surrounded by small hillocks that protect it from the wind, which generates a microclimate that enables the practice of golf any time of year.  With a 6,277 m round and par 72 the player enjoys a course whose laws, neatly-manicured to the highest standards of quality, are only enhanced by the lush vegetation and fauna of the area.

Las Colinas Golf Course extends across the valley between the hills, adapts to the unusual lie of the land and blends naturally into the landscape. The width of its fairways, the design of its extensive undulating greens, and the numerous tees at each hole give it great versatility and mean that it is suitable for professional competitions, while also offering any player a pleasant, enjoyable and affordable game.
